Ukraine Support

FUNDING & DONATIONS

When the invasion of Ukraine commenced on 24th February 2022 Europe whispered ‘not again’ and the world shouted NO!

Within days Poland had taken in 1.5million Ukraine refugees that were previously heading to work or the gym or the supermarket as they went about their lives. A strange thing then occurred, an act of humanitarian outpouring commenced from around the world in a manner that has never occurred from nations and individuals alike. Travel restrictions were removed and movement from Ukraine with or without COVID documents was granted. Borders were opened and Ukraines, going about their daily routine who were suddenly caught in the centre of a war zone, were in fear for their life and headed for friendly neighbouring countries.

Whilst billions of people around the world watched on news channels and – in colour – on social media channels it was clear this was an invasion – by one man – against the wishes of the people of the country he represents – to destroy or possess Ukraine.

The power of technology through social media, contracts, contacts and human kindness connected; Unchain Fund was launched.

The Vanessa Brady Foundation through the SBID and SBID-Ukraine have agreed to continue their student sponsorship programme which commenced in 2016 with the shared GET ME TO THE TOP competition by adapting it to address the current disruption.

Students involved in the programme who require equipment, replacement computers, and other materials to continue their studies …..even if relocated to other countries due to the conflict, can still obtain financial support through the Foundation.

Unchain Ukraine a fund formed to address the impact of the war on Ukraine has agreed to support appropriate applications from the Vanessa Brady Foundation charity. Please use the link https://unchain.fund to commence a financial application.
